After 34 years of marriage -- we’ve always taken care of each other -- not having health insurance makes that a whole lot harder.

Voiceover: 1 out of every 8 people in Missouri has no health insurance. It’s a crisis that’s cutting lives short and causing costs to skyrocket.

That’s why Missouri’s hospitals are supporting something called Insure Missouri.

Insure Missouri is a plan before the state legislature to extend affordable coverage to 200,000 uninsured working people.

Having health coverage promotes early treatment and prevention. This reduces the need for costly emergency room care and can lower health costs for everyone.

But our legislators need to hear from you.
